Kurinjal Trek

Kurinjal Peak sits deep in the Western Ghats near Mudigere — a trail that takes you through dense shola forests, misty ridges, and some of Karnataka’s most pristine wilderness. But this trip isn’t just about the summit. Day 1 layers in temple visits, a roaring waterfall, a hanging bridge, and sweeping tea estate views before you settle in for a campfire night under the stars. Day 2 is all about the mountain — a 14 km round trek that earns every bit of the view from the top.

Day 0 — Departure from Bengaluru (Night)

Board the Tempo Traveller from your nearest pickup point at 8:00 PM. Break the ice with fellow travellers, cue up the playlist, and let Bengaluru fade behind you as the Western Ghats come calling. Overnight journey to Mudigere.

Day 1 — Temples, Waterfalls & Nature Escape

Morning: Arrive, freshen up, and fuel up with a hearty breakfast before the day begins.

Annapoorneshwari Temple, Varandur: Begin with a visit to one of Karnataka’s most beloved temples — a serene and powerful start to the day.

Suranimale Falls: Head to the beautiful Suranimale Falls, where cascading water cuts through dense greenery. Perfect for photos and a refreshing break.

Hanging Bridge: Cross the scenic hanging bridge — a little thrill nestled in the middle of the forest.

Ganapati Temple, Samse: A peaceful hilltop temple visit with lovely surrounding views.

Tea Estate: Wind through the rolling tea gardens as the afternoon light turns everything golden. One of those views that stays with you.

Evening & Night: Back at the homestay, gather around the campfire for live music, group games, and the kind of easy conversations that happen when you’re far from the city. Let the mountain air pull you into a deep sleep — tomorrow’s a big one.

Day 2 — Kurinjal Peak Trek

Early Morning: An early start with breakfast, then lace up for the main event.

The Trek: Set off on the Kurinjal Peak Trail — a 7 KM ascent through dense forest cover, mossy paths, and misty switchbacks. The trail is challenging but every step rewards you with deeper green and bigger views.

The Summit: Reach Kurinjal Peak and take it all in — a 360° panorama of the Western Ghats that makes every sore muscle worth it. Enjoy your packed lunch at the top, surrounded by nothing but sky and forest.

Descent: Trek back down (7 KM), freshen up at the base, and take a moment to appreciate what you just did.

Evening: Begin the return journey to Bengaluru, carrying a bag full of memories, a few new friends, and probably some red mud on your shoes.

Terms & Conditions

• Maximum 30 travellers per batch.
• A minimum of 10 travellers is required to confirm a batch. If not met, you’ll be offered a transfer to another trip or a full refund.
• Mode of transport depends on group size.
• Arrive at pickup points at least 20 minutes before scheduled departure.
