Day 0 — Departure from Bengaluru (Night)
Board the Tempo Traveller and kick off your Kannur journey with icebreakers, music, and dancing as the city lights fade behind you. Overnight journey to Kerala.
Day 1 — Forts, Folklore & the Theyyam Night
Morning: Arrive at the homestay, freshen up and enjoy a wholesome Kerala breakfast.
Sightseeing:
- St. Angelo’s Fort (Kannur Fort) — a 16th-century Portuguese fortress overlooking the Arabian Sea, steeped in colonial history.
- Kannur Folklore Academy — Kerala’s premier institution preserving the state’s rich performing arts, folk traditions, and Theyyam culture.
- Optional: Boating activity near the local temple for those who want a peaceful afternoon on the water.
Evening: Hotel check-in and time to relax before the big night ahead.
Temple Visit:
- Parassinikkadavu Muthappan Temple — one of Kerala’s most beloved temples, known for its unique rituals and the deity Muthappan.
- Neeliyar Kottam — a sacred grove with an ancient, mystical atmosphere.

Dinner: A traditional Prasada Sadya — a sacred temple meal served on banana leaves, offered as prasad after the ritual.
Return to the hotel in the early hours of the morning for rest.
Day 2 — Beaches, Heritage & Return
Morning: Breakfast at the homestay. Take your time, relax, and check out leisurely.
Sightseeing:
- Paralaseery Temple — a serene local shrine on the way.
- Gundert Bungalow — the historic residence of German missionary Hermann Gundert, who compiled the first Malayalam dictionary. A quiet, fascinating heritage stop.
- Muzhappilangad Beach Drive — the longest driveable beach in Asia. Cruise along the shore, soak in the breeze, and catch the golden hour before sunset.
Evening: Departure towards Bengaluru with memories that’ll last a lifetime.
